In an unprecedented move, the first government guarantee to support the export of Iranian technical and engineering services to Iraq has been issued. This guarantee was allocated on February 5, 2025, to Boland Payeh Company, one of the leading firms in this sector.
According to Yahya Al-Eshaq, Chairman of the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce, this step marks a significant milestone in facilitating the presence of Iranian companies in international projects, particularly in Iraq. He stated: “For the first time, the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on behalf of the banks, has issued a guarantee to support the activities of technical and engineering service companies abroad.”
Furthermore, Abdolnasser Hemmati, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, while announcing the news, added: “With the aim of supporting capable Iranian companies, I have signed the first government guarantee for the participation of an Iranian firm in an international project. This initiative marks the beginning of serious backing for the export of technical and engineering services to neighboring countries.”
